Whether or not you are from the area, you owe it to yourself, your family and your friends to bring them for a visit to this unique gallery in the middle of nowhere that has brought some degree of culture to North Fork.
We are Located in North Fork - the Geographic "Exact" Center of CA.
The Community Art Gallery of North Fork & PHA Photo Studio (and Gift Shop) is a unique collaboration of local mountain artists. We are located in North Fork, only 20 miles from the southern gate of Yosemite National Park. Oakhurst, located at the intersection of Highways 41 and 49, is the closest large community, and Bass Lake, only 5 miles from the Gallery, is the closest resort community. We are a co-op made up of painters, photographers, sculptors, writers, poets, and artisans in jewelry, material and paper. A visit to our Gallery places you on the National Sierra Vista Scenic Byway, a short distance from Mammoth Pool and Yosemite. The gorgeous locale definitely inspires the work of our collection of artists, all of whom reflect the beauty of their natural surroundings in their art work. A visit to the Gallery includes stepping back in history as we are located on the premises of the former South Fork Lumber Saw Mill which operated from 1942 until 1994, and is now owned by the people of North Fork.
Our Member Artists are:
Paul Henry Abram, Marcia Ann Abram, Joan Brumley, Sharon Bortugno, David Caris, Amber Castillo, George & Ida Covert, Arista Flanagan, Margaret Grahlman, Jean Hancock, Ginny Jewkes, Dot Morris, Phyllis Overstreet, Ruth Rosenthal, Chris Stanley and Vernon Tallmon.
